In the summer of 2011 the city of Berlin was blessed by the appearance
of jazz master Karl Ratzer, who brought with him his special brand
of guitar playing and vocalizing. An institution in his home town
of Vienna, Karl hadn't been to Berlin in many years. Thanks to the
jazz club Badenscher Hof, he had the opportunity to perform with
the Larry Porter Trio for an enthusiastic audience of old and new
fans.

CD - UNDERGROUND SYSTEM - Karl Ratzer Septet
Larry recorded a CD with the well-known Austrian guitarist Karl Ratzer
in June 2014. The album features a set of Ratzer originals arranged for
three horns and rhythm section. The group sound, beautiful compositions,
individual solos, and recording quality all make for a sparkling recording.
And of course the irresistible playing of the leader engage the listener throughout.
